S21 Prison & The Killing Fields

Necessary and informative visit to these sites of the Cambodian genocide. Tuol Sleng prison, also known as S21, was the largest prison facility operated by the Khmer Rouge during their reign of terror from 17-Apr-1975 to 7-Jan-1979. This former Phnom Penh high school was converted into a place of unspeakable acts perpetrated by Pol Pot and the Angkar (Organization) he led. For more details on the prison, click here.

Choeung Ek is the best known of the estimated 300 killing fields where the Khumar Rouge perpetrated the Cambodian genocide. More information can be found here.
