Temples
There are so many temples in Bangkok you could spend days visiting them all. We saw three – Wat Pho (Reclining Buddha), Wat Arun (Temple of Dawn), and Wat Paknam (Giant Buddha).

Songkran Festival
We were in Bangkok during Songkran which is the traditional Thai New Year. The festival is celebrated by a city-wide water fight. People young and old take to the streets with water guns and buckets to engage in battles throughout the city. The water fights stem from the significance pouring water during Songkran, symbolizing cleansing, reverence and good fortune.
